Easter Brunch in Austin

Moonshine

Ohmanohmanohman. So good. But so crowded. Get here early – as in, like, 30 minutes to an hour early – if you want the first crack at Moonshine’s amazing buffet. Waffles, migas, chicken fried steak, soups, desserts galore… this is what brunch dreams are made of. 10am–2:30pm | $14.95/person

303 Red River St • Austin, TX 78701

The Original Pancake House

Two words: Dutch baby. Okay, maybe you don’t want a giant puffed-out pancake smothered in butter and powdered sugar for brunch, but they have other stuff, including an apple pancake baked to perfection. Corned beef hash, omelets, crepes, and more. Another great option if you’re looking for somewhere to go that won’t cost a fortune.

7:30am–3pm

1700 W Parmer Ln • Austin, TX

Kerbey Lane

Affordable, great for families with young children, and consistently good. They have pancakes, eggs, bacon – the usual stuff, though they do some things with a bit of a twist (like granola pancakes). It’s an ideal place if someone in your party is picky – there’s enough on the menu to please just about anyone.

Open 24 hours; they serve breakfast all day

Austin, Texas. Austin is becoming a popular retirement community for a variety of reasons, according to TopRetirements.com. The University of Texas and its array of cultural and other activities is perhaps the biggest draw for Austin, its cosmopolitan and high-tech, quirky soul is another reason. Plus, it has a relatively low cost of living.
